if

...a well-meaning
leader may leave a book on your desk, one
written by a successful athletic coach who can, apparently, not

I can
relate.
Still, I did make
it to the top...
And I didn’t have an Ivy
league education or personal contacts.
Yet, I worked for some of the largest, most prestigious
consumer companies in the world.
Along the way, I found a few “mentors” (by luck and lasso), but I
always pined for a woman mentor, someone who understood my unique
experiences and needs, my responsibilities and
perspective—as wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
It's sad to say, but I've found that most women in the workworld
struggle to find
